Yes there is adiffrence between theme

The scientific translator specifid in terms of scientific and chemical names or midicinal

The general translator he has deal of freedom dealing with text and speach and installed according to the languge and rules.

Of course, a major difference actually. 

 

In scientific translation, specific scientific terms should be present, the use of creative metaphor should be eliminated as possible, and, the translation should be thorough, not simplified or skipped, in terms of serving scientific needs.

In scientific translation the translator is forced to fully abide by uisng specific equivalent words in the traget language. In general translation he will have sufficient room to use his skills.
