I would choose a high flex prosthesisbecause of short stature and tendence to Varus knee.
I PREFER HIGH FLEXION PROSTHESIS
I perfer High flex prosthesis because of short stature in comparison to cucasianand larger abductor leverarm
I would choose a high flex prosthesis.
high flexion prosthesis could be useful with proper patient selection and standard principles of total knee arthroplasty. The overall clinical results of total knee replacement using posterior-stabilized high flexion prosthesis are almost the same as those using traditional posterior stabilized design as proved by several Level I and Level II studies, but there are several confounding factors present in each study that need to be dealt with. So, the functional results of high flexion knee arthroplasty is good in certain groups of patients, but its usefulness in all patient populations needs to be evaluated further. There are no specific complications attributable to high flexion design except for the excess bone cut compared to traditional posterior stabilized designs. The long-term survivorship of this prosthesis is still in question, but it has good early- to mid-term survivorship.
High Flex. This is particularly because of cultural demands that require more flexion
This choice of implants varie from patient to patient. If someone who is youngish less than 60yearsof age and has a very active lifestyle, I would like to do a High Flex TKR. But in my hands even a Standard TKR gives similar outocme.
I would choose a High flex Knee replacement for the Asian population and i think also for european.
This one is individual approach where the surgeon in cooperation with the patient should decide what is the best to be used and applied the same Accordingly to the health problem.
Since the majority of asian population are religious by nature, i would choose a high flex prosthesis
