When we talk about management skill. We are referring to the C levels executive , or General Manager.
So the first and important thing is to Plan. i.e you know what you are doing and when you are doing . Out of many characteristics the most important is control i.e controlling problem as and when occurs and to do so you need to track and monitor the task by outsourcing/ or hiring.
Danger is not when you take big task and unable to achieve it. The Real Danger is when you got a small task and stick to conclusion
Sharing objectives with the team, listen in active mode to team and senior management, keep achievement records and marketing IT to business group, control cost and improve performance.
Basic Skills are willingness to listen to subordinates as well as superiors to identify what needs to be addressed.
To understand the market you are serving, you need to get out of the office and see what is truly happening in the sector you are serving.
A big list can be made but a good manager must know POSDORB, it is easy n helpful. every good manager should be Pro-active rather than Reactive. must follow SMART working pattern.
Management sjkills & experience is very important.
