Leadership and Teambuilding go hand in hand.
There is NO leader without a team and surely there can be NO team without a leader (many may disagree here).
So a good leader needs to marshal his troops to ensure goals are met and at the same time the team is motivated to put in more! At the same time - If a team does not hold together and is fragmenting - it affects the achievement of the end goal too.
To give an example of a car: All the 4 wheels need to move in the same direction (team) to ensure the Driver reaches the destination.
It is the duty of the leader to ensure the team is motivated and have the courage to identify the weak-links and mentor them or do away with them in larger interests of the team.

A good team definitely in need of a good leader. There might be a team with leader, but sustainibility or growth is mostly depends on the quality of the leader. If a good, competitive, proactive leader is present in a team, it will be flourish for sure. There are very complete and strong relationship between the leader and the team building.

It takes great leader to build great teams. Leaders who are not afraid to course correct, make the difficult decisions and establish standards of performance that are constantly being met and improving at all times.

 

There would be no team if there was no one to lead, therefore team building and leadership goes hand in hand. Whitout any leadership of a team, there will be no order and control.

A good team leader have very well sense about the thing that might be thinking by the members about him, and about there goals. he/she have knowledge about the quality and speciality that the recognized by team members. so that he/she known how to use those quality and knowledge to get the goals or achievements which results raise in enthusiascity in the members for their work.

The relationship between team building and leadership is, you need a team to be a leader and you need your team to repect the decisions of the leader that the leader is making the best decision on their behalf. This relationship is one based on trust and its a slave master relationship. The leader can achieve all his ambition with the right team built around him because the team are the doer of the job while the leader is the strategic individual that cordinates the choir.

The relation is linear up to a certain point then it starts to be nonlinear, which in general is nonlinear.
