Folks. Some managers intentionally use negative tactics because they think it’s an effective way to get people to do what they’re told, but most managers characterized by the people who work for them as rude, inconsiderate, or abusive are totally unaware of how inappropriate or counterproductive their attempts to motivate are. They think they’re just being tough. The people under them think they’re just being jerks. What is your opinion? Thanks
The most negative effect of a bad management practice is that the employees would consider that this is the only way to manage people and when they progress further, they would adopt the same practices to manage their subordinates, creating a cascading effect of bad management practices.

poor performance
low productivity
increased rework
increased conflicts
bottlenecks
slowly team members starts quitting
Usually managers who doesn't have maturity as managers, or managers who are afraid of something does such acts.. It leads to demotivation of team members which directly results in poort results, lower productivity..
Sorry, I am not able to understand this point "Manager should be from same department"....
From my History work as i lead people , a manger MUST be one of the team and not in managerial level , meaning you MUST start work by yourself in order to let your team see physical you are really work and not waste not only your time and effort but your team time and effort as well, then your team follow you without even thinking of anything as they see their manger work by sequence should they play or work than his / her manager.

The simple fact is that while negative management practices may produce short-term results they always end up de-motivating and alienating employees causing them to leave or wish they could leave. This is not the kind of workforce that will be innovative or productive.
