When you speak about management in this context, then you mean "top/executive" level management who have the authority and decision making power.  Nurturing Innovation Leaders .. as you put it in your question .. is a special and sensitive topic. 

You are talking about "leaders" and :innnovation" at the same time ... two keywords that carry lots of "change potential" that may go deep into the organziation This goes back to the governing principles within the organization and its dominant corporate culture.  

  1. Is there "mutual trust" among the different ranks within the organization ?? ot is it mutual mistrust model that dominates these relations ?
  2. Is there enough embracement and endorsement for change ??  Is the organization open to change and welcoming change ?  or is it stuck in its own comfort zone ? and does not wish to move away from it ?
  3. Is there a "corporate development" function within the organization that is above and separate from the operational level organization ?
  4. Is there ongoing interactive ommunication between the two  (corporate developement and operational level) ?
  5. Is there any program in place for leadership and innovation ?
