VRF stand for Variable Refrigerant Flow.  It is a type of airconditioning unit having1 outdoor and multiple indoor units. Compressor is running in variable speed based on how many indoor units are running. Refrigerant flow is controlled by solenoid valves or capillary tube which mostly installed in the indoor unit. (depend on the manufacturer.)
