If an organisation is losing good employees, alarm bells should be ringing at management level! For one reason or other the "system" is failing, the question is, why? It is of paramount importance that the problem is investigated, exposed and remedial action taken for what could ultimately mean the survival of the company! If it means that one of the problems is a "bad" boss then that person should be warned as to their future performance or replaced. The morale and welfare of the workforce is all important and should not be sacrificed because of one "bad" boss!

A tree needs constant  pruning so that the good fruit-bearing branches  are kept and the bad ones are eliminated. I am with the idea of correcting the bad boss and turning him into a good one. All efforts should be made to achieve that.  Howeve, if he keeps on being bad, and the Company keeps on losing its good employees because of him, the last  remedial action should be his dismissal.

Its not the case with all employees.

However, one of the biggest reasons employees leave is related to working for a boss who does not respect their worth or treat them well.

Other reasons for leaving:

  1. No career growth opportunities

  2. Better job offers

Not100%. Policy will play a role in the loss of good employees, and leadership is responsible for the implementation of  policy to employees.

Dear Mr. Ali

For an organization everyone is same there no Boss each and every one is employee. So if you want to say that if an employee is not fulfilling his duties and responsibilities and its impact on his subordinates and it compel them to leave organisation it cannot be reasonable reason. If anyone has a problem they can contact to seniors or further they can go to HR.

Regards

Anurag

It depends on situation between employee and supervisor as well as employee & employer. When I reviewed exit interview I found that most of cases employee leaves the job for bad handling of supervisee by the supervisor.

I dont agree , i have another accurate answer from my point of veiw (( Bad Top Boards )) which by seuqnce will lead to bad disussion and not on the right time , which leads to high turnover of leaving the employe for the company.
