No. Corrective and Preventive Actions cannot be taken at the same time. Corrective Action is for Non-Conformances which have already occured. Corrective Action is taken after the Non-Conformance or in simple words defects have occured to correct it.

But preventive Action is against the Non-Conformances or defects which are likely to happen. Purpose of Preventive Action is Prevent the Non-Conformance or Defect from happening.

Hence Corrective Action is after occurance of Non-Conformance while Preventive Action is before the occurance of Non-Conformance. Hence Corrective Action and Prentive Action cannot be taken together.

Corrective action is based on the observed/recorded nonconformity. Causes are to be determined for non conformity which has occurred and the complete system is to be scanned and corrective measures/procedures are to be instituted to avoid such occurrence. Apart from these actions, one need to look in to the consequences of such non conformity and take appropriate actions such as recalling product, rework, informing customer of the affects of such nonconformity regarding the delivered and in use products.

In contrast to corrective action, preventive actions, based on analysis and root cause of recorded non conformance, aims at improving the processes and procedures through a complete developmental life cycle, ensuring that observed nonconformity does not occur.

From the above discussion we could conclude that corrective and preventive actions are two distinct although interrelated activities and are to be undertaken as separate entities.

Sorry i have to disagree with you

For Example if you are performing quality assurance then you are auditing your processes to check for its efficincy and you discovered that you need to change some thing in your process otherwise you will face problem while excuting

So now youare going to do corrective action to your processes and same thing canbe considered as preventive action for one of defects which could have happened.

In other words Quality assurance process outputs is

Quality Measures which can be considered Preventive actions

Changes to processes wich is actually corrective actions

same can be applied to quality control process.
