Maintaining proper gradation itself is the best way of hindering liquefaction with cost effectiveness. any other method to be used depends on the nature and type of load acting on the pavement. if cost is a major factor then maintain well graded mixture of loam and laterite for road and give camber and proper drainage to remove the storm water and water from any other source if possible such rise in GWT.
