I agree with you100 % but lets refer to the reasons from any accounting section any company any operations core , as the sales team always accept the sales operation regardless any documents needed, as they belive in1 thing makeing sales , even if they support by make sales order or any mails , they agree that without finance no sales can take care, also without sales no finance cxan take care, finally i mean both MUST co-ordinate to let the company achive its goals , other we will be in fight and the result one side loose and other gain but the company tottaly will loose and not individules.
It is always a matter of Conflict of Interest between departments. Here, I would like to give an example:
Sales interest is to get as much deals as possible in order to achieve their targets.
Finance interest is to assure profit.
Unfortunately, both departmenst usually have no intention to look through the glazes of the other department.
If Sales comes with a tiny-profit deal, Finance will reject it. They will not try to understand why did Sales come with such a deal.
If Finance rejects a deal because they found that it is too risky, Sales will not understand that it may harm the business of the company.
As Sales is always under huge pressure from the management, from other departments and even from themselves. Thats why they spend everything to sell, sell and sell. They find it hard to accept any rejection from other departments or not to get the necessary support to finalize the deals..
