Some people accuse PR of being the same as propaganda? As a PR person what arguments would you present against this ?

I disagree with this opinion. PR is different from propaganda. propaganda words of ideas and information spread fast way.

If you look at the goal of PR and propaganda which is to influence public opinion or shape perceptions, the two seem interchangable but what sets them apart is the method used for achieving that goal.

PR relies on presenting facts and information whereas propaganda uses misinforation or presents facts selectively often by omission or lying.
