I have read many articles about motivations, and have fond that both of them are legit ways to motivate, it is not simply saying which way better than the other, however it is more of on which group works the best on, they are both good apporaches.

but there is no ranking for money. that depends on the person on how far his or her needs are met.
Motivation has a numner of internal and external triggers. a good leader knows how to tap those triggers and get his job done.
i personally have met very few whose main trigger was money. Most of the personnel i have met wanted power, position, appreciation, feedback, involvement, opportunity and then money.
