Normally you choose agents and distributors when you need specialized distribution channel. Reason can be limited resource, or low on expertise or new in market. Agent and distributors are widely used when you are expanding your business internationally. 

 

Direct sales more viable when you have strong brand ,capabiliites and resource to reach customers throgh own brand shops Technology made it easy by online sales.
