B2B or B2C , a good relationship while marketing any product depends upon how clearly and to the point you present your product to your prospects or clients. Ithe basic points one need to follow while marketing a B2B product would be:

1. Marketing your product to the right audience.

2. If direct marketing channel is used then be very sure the executive handeling the marketing is clear about the product  and how much modification is possible on the original product to cater to different clientle needs and a bit on similar offerings from competition.

3. Bring out the advantages of your product in your marketing materials if possible with quantitive analysis in terms of cost or time savings.

When you are dealing with B2B marketing, you need

a)To identify your customer needs and specialties.As you are dealing with a business here you need to think about the end customers of the company and their needs too

b) Study the company style, operation, and sales force.You need to treat in a different way and make maybe a different approach for example  to a family owned company and a bigger more impersonal and formal company.

In more general words "customise" if you can your marketing and solutions to your customer, and make them feel special and unique.All these will make your effort take place and you will sell mre products and usilt better sales channels
