A manager doesn't need to be more experienced than his employees, but he needs to be a leader. In this case, I feel very comfortable. I will manipulate him (in a positive way) to help me achieve my (also his) targets. I will be more creative and take much initiatives (with his blessings).

I answered a similar query before. It happens when the person is influential such as relative of the sr. management, a partner of business.. I will have no problem to face such situations as long as we both work towards achieving company's strategic goals.. I will try my best to give full support to him, and suggest him in taking right decision...

It does,t really matter boss is less experienced than you,he has role to run department and you have your

role to support him and team to succeed as department. It,s good chance to you to step up and contribute

in success of department to new heigh with combination of youth and experience alongwith innovative

It will be frustrating at times, you might question judgement of ones who put an inexpereinced manager on your head. But if you have winining atttitude, you can make it happen, assume role of Enabler and collaborate to show him/her ropes. You can not lead your manager or manage your manager so be content at Enabler and have fun of learning ride. Its going to be bumpy but thrilling. Good Luck!

Great!? ..Will be ready to help as long as he/she's eager to learn and not showing any excessive BOSSY behavior. It could happen with fresh graduates at some organizations or with new joiners who are supported by influentials.

For me it is frustrating situation,as it is very hard to tackle such type of manager, but on the other hand it is good chance for us to show our skills and experience in front of management , which may lead to better opportunites.
