Are you micro managing or a coaching manager giving directions only taking charge if needed to avoid problems
There are a lot of managing styles, the best one is the well diplomatic, win-win, style at which it used the delegation role to give the accountability for the team to deal with their specified assignments and by the end to reward them based on their work performance.
First I work on details action plan and this plan tasks will be identified and list of activities to be performed and who will do it will be identified. I give direction to my staff based on the plan. Every morning I will have a small meeting with each staff. This meeting we call it DAGU (information exchange while doing work). On this session we will discuss what we planned for yesterday what they did and what's our plan for today. This session is not more than four minutes.
Every week on Monday we will have a department meeting. On this meeting we will see what each section has planned and did what is left and why. Finally we will decide for things that need further action.
The need for DAGU is to provide and exchange information every time about the tasks planned. Each of us will have information about others and our own work status. We took the term DAGU from our one ethnic. They have this tradition of exchange information siting and and counting four graves. If you have interest to know about it I can give you further information on the matter.
