There are three types of telecomunications system based on the way of connection: Simplex, Half Duplex, Full Duplex.
Hi all,
All the Simplex, Half duplex are correct but,
Kindly note that Cell phone is not full duplex as the cell phone is either in transmission or receiving mode at any given time and the sound you hear in the load speaker when you take is just a feed back noise from your own environment to give you the feeling that the line is still open but actually it is not receiving anything while transmitting.
A good example for Full duplex is old land line telephone as it sends and receives at the same time due to unbalances transformer that converts4 line required (2 for transmission,2 for receiving ) into2 lines that is the connection to the public exchange.
To use full duplex in telecommunication and due to interference usually you need a dedicated line, or channel, or frequency for each direction to be separate each direction and source.
