Globally, the shift is towards getting better for less. However, with the current changes politically, employers are walking on a tight rope to balance quality talent on competitive pricing. The employer cannot afford to under price good talent nor can they hire ordinary talent at staggering price.

I do believe that political issues have influenced worflow and recruitment processes in many ways. As a start, employers nowadays tend to hire immigrants if that means they can pay them less which meanwhile creates a high rate of umeployment among citizens which leads them to apply for jobs in other countries, which are not hiring outsiders, especially arabs, due to fear of therorists or to avoid any potential future problems...In summar, i do believe that media, as well as employers' tendancy to stereotype (like all Arabs are terrorists after September11), have created a major change in the recruitment strategies and personal conviction has been controlling any other technical assessments that should be made.
