Cannot able to change the paramaeters of drive during running  related to safty and motor in Siemens Sinamics G120 drives.

The parameter related to motor like motor voltage , rated speed and motor current can able to change after stopping the motor and setting quick ommissioning parameters.

However the parameters related to analog input / output can be changed even when the drive is in operation.

The procedure for quick commissiong of Sinamics G120 is as follows

The following parameters are necessary for quick commissioning (p0010 =1).

.

p0010    Drive commissioning parameter filter1

p0100 *)   IEC/NEMA mot stds4 C(1)

p0205      Power unit application1 C(1)

p0230      Drive filter type, motor side3 C(1,2)

p0300      Motor type selection2 C(1,3)

p0301     Motor code number selection2 C(1,3)U

p0304    Rated motor voltage1 C(1,3)

p0305     Rated motor current1 C(1,3)

p0307     Rated motor power1 C(1,3)

p0308     Rated motor power factor1 C(1,3)

p0309 *)     Rated motor efficiency1 C(1,3)

p0310        Rated motor frequency1 C(1,3)

p0311        Rated motor speed1 C(1,3)

p0314        Motor pole pair number3 C(1,3)

p0316        Motor torque constant3 C(1,3)UT

p0322      Maximum motor speed1 C(1,3)

p0323      Maximum motor current1 C(1,3)

p0335      Motor cooling type2 C(1,3)T

p0500      Technology application1 C(1,5)T

p0640      Current limit1 C(1,3)UT

p0700       Command source selection1 C(1)T

p0922       PROFIdrive telegram selection1 C(1)T

p1000 Selecting the speed setpoint

p1080 Minimum speed

p1082 Maximum speed

p1120 Ramp-function generator ramp-up time

p1121 Ramp-function generator ramp-down time

p1135 OFF3 ramp-down time

p1135 OFF3 ramp-down time

p1300 Open-loop/closed-loop control operating mode

p1500 Selecting the torque setpoint

p1900 Motor data identification and rotating

measurement

p3900 Completion of quick commissioning

At the end of the quick commissioning sequence, set p3900 =3 to carry out the necessary

motor calculations and clear all other parameters (not included in p0010 =1) to their default

settings.

When p0010 =1 is chosen, p0003 (user access level) can be used to select the parameters

to be accessed.

Only few parameters can changed during running conditions

IF you mean VFD most of drives NOT ALLOWED to change parameter during running like Seimens ,in Allen Bradly you can but its not recommended to change parameters during running cause of malfunction

for safety reasons we do not allow changing of important parameters in the drive to avoid any disturbances of the operation or something which may cause disruption or shutdown. If for any emergency means however there are some few parameters that can be change and is safe. However we make sure all these parameters are necessary or in need at large. If we can however wait for the right timing needless to adjust right away

The motor that gives input to the Siemens sinamics g240B drive is running late.P1120,1121 is 0.005 delayed. What to do.frequently this pbm regarding. Fast operation list to be fwd other parameters

The Parameters we can able to change, by disabling the Write Protection or by Advanced Level Access Password.....

IT is correct that in ABB/Siemens /Yaskawa/Allen Bradly drive/VFD/VVFD & most of the drive threre are2 types of parameters.1st type we con't change those are like drive application standards i.e SCALER( simple V/F,Siemens),VECTOR( Field oriented),DIRECT TORQUE Control( ABB).Ther are more parametrs you can't  Change.

But in case of2n dType parameter you can change some parameter like Ramp UP Time /Ramp down Time.

But it is not recomanded to change any parameter change, which will affect the PID tuning of DRIVE TO Motor, because of that malfunctioning will occur.

In ABB ACS Drives if you change any parameter, it is recomanded to stop the drive, De-couple the Motor do ID Run & Save the Parameter for smooth & efficient operation.

The motor will stop because the PLC wont know what you wanted to do
