soft skills are more necessary. It is the ability to manage interactions with others inside and outside the organization in which one works. Like inspiring people, coaching, team learning skills and teamwork, sharing visions, creating a learning climate, communication persuasion, negotiation and establishing relationships. its this that makes the team to work in the same direction in a more successful manner
Hard skills are those which give you the experise to deal with a situation or problem, soft skills give the humane approach to the same by taking all the stakehilders along.

Between Soft and hard skill domination depend on stage of team , during team building hard skill dominate but after that soft skill dominate it motivate them to improve and perform but parallel hard skill control the flow .

In the old world it was the carrot and stick policy. But in the new work environment the emploees are nearly all well qualified. There is no labour control only HR management. Here only soft skill will work.
Soft skills are more required to higher positions, as the hard skills are predominant for the basic levels.

I strongly agree with my colleagues answer ,but i think the mixture from two and middel level, so every person from hard skills can make team, the group will grow and develope.
