soft skills are more necessary. It is the ability to manage interactions with others inside and outside the organization in which one works. Like inspiring people, coaching, team learning skills and teamwork, sharing visions, creating a learning climate, communication persuasion, negotiation and establishing relationships. its this that makes the team to work in the same direction in a more successful manner

Between Soft and hard skill domination depend on stage of  team , during team building hard skill dominate but after that soft skill dominate it motivate them to improve and perform but parallel hard skill control the flow .

I think both are important therefore the mixture of both can work wonders.

Soft skills can let you dominate for the time being hard skills reside in yourself

In the old world it was the carrot and stick policy. But in the new work environment the emploees are nearly all well qualified. There is no labour control only HR management. Here only soft skill will work.

Soft skills are more required to higher positions, as the hard skills are predominant for the basic levels.

Hard skills are teachable abilities or skill sets that are easy to quantify. Typically, you'll learn hard skills in the classroom, through books or other training materials, or on the job.

Examples of hard skills include:

  • Proficiency in a foreign language
  • A degree or certificate
  • Typing speed
  • Machine operation
  • Computer programming

These hard skills are often listed in your job letter and on  your resume, and are easy for an employer or recruiter to recognize.

Soft skills, on the other hand, are subjective skills that are much harder to quantify. Also known as "people skills" or "Interpersonal Skills" soft skills relate to the way you relate to and interact with other people.

Examples of soft skills include:

  • Communication
  • Flexibility
  • Leadership
  • Motivation
  • Patience
  • Persuasion
  • Problem solving abilities
  • TeamWork
  • Time Management
  • Work Ethic
  • I would say soft skills are more important in most business career than hard skills. most of the people have worked for senior people that doesn't seem that smart, they have limited hard skills. The fact is that they are in senior positions because they have exceptional soft skills.
