I believe a salesperson is someone who cares only about how much he sold at the end of the day, while problem solver is more cares about how many problems he solved and how many needs he fulfilled at the end of the day!!
Yes ofcourse because after sales service will be the matter
Hi Ibrahim,
Good evening. In my opinion, I am partially agree with you. To be successful sale man/woman you have to have good sales skills as well as have to be a good problem solver. Problem solving is an innate skills for every individual. I didn't referring as mathematical problems, but It mean you should know how to tackle day to day issues or tackle customer by knowing customers' test or you should foresee what kind of query will customer have or you can estimate by what time the product either will be deliver or repaired in case of any fault is there. If you will have this skill then of course you will grab customers attentions as well as you can retain customers which is very important in any business.
It depends on the kind of product you are selling. And at what level are you selling. If you are a small shop-keeper selling daily provision items, you need not be a problem solver. All you need to do is provide good customer service by not being stock-out on any given day. And sell items with a smile on your face.
However, if you are selling a high technology item, the salesman has to be a problem solver. Only then will he be able to sell.
