Assalaamal'aikum!!!!!!!

It helps, but we as an IT Professional always have to keep second, third, fourth.......options. Because our motive is to save the data first then recover it.

The reason of failure may be the bandwidth issue allocated to your server, so i am going to discuss this concept.

I don't know the actual scenario of your organization but if you are dealing with large amount of data and your company allows then try to have some help of "Cloud Computing". I know from security point of view it's not too much secure. So keep those data which are not frequently accessible and not so much important on the cloud and keep all the important data on your main server.

What happens when too many requests comes on your server it always creates problem if you don't have sufficient bandwidth previously allocated. So, i will suggest you to either increase the bandwidth or use cloud computing.

Thanks and Regards

It is a part of the recovery plan and disaster management.

As professional wise we should have three levels of backup

1- Online backup

2- Offline backup

3- Offsite backup

Back up server is100% important.

Yes, it is always true. But the question is how often are we going to back up the servers data, is it hourly, or daily, or weekly, this depends on the criticality and sensativity level of the data.

Having a backup server is very helpful generally speaking, and can be a MUST in some cases depending on the importance and criticality of the files being backed up
