Employer tries to hire potential candidate competitive salary and benefits. Competitive salary does not indicate that you are getting more salary and benefits. It is a tricky word. I think that salary and benefits must indicate the job advertisement, otherwise potential candidate will waste their time and money. If the employer indicates the salary that would be clear to the potential employees whether will go to apply or not. Interms of salary negotiation, employer aske to employee what is your expected salary?
