You manager is calling you in the same time you are on the other line with a potential guest..how do you manage in that situation?Do you hang up to your manager or to the guest?Do you put the guest on hold first?
I also agree with you and your answer...the customer is the most important and we all should concentrate on them in order to be satisfied...because one satisfied customer brings you other customers.. :)
Come on Bianca, your complete concentration needs to be on the customer. :)
sorry i will be right with you, i am with the guest or Mr. xyz
I will give priority to the present guest,
All the successful businesses whether small or big, are well versed with the quote ' Customer is God'., not the manager.
A good manager with successful administrative skills, always appreciates his /her subordinates, for their customer attention, but not for attention to gain his /her prop.
i end the conversation with the guest first and then i speak with my manager
The customer ALWAYS comes first and any Manager worth his salt will understand that!
i will reply while i'm focusing with the client, he will hear my voice that i'm busy with client, so if the topic is related to the same client he will talk to me without replying from my side, or he will call me later.
it is depend , may be my manager needs to deliver some urgent information , if i know he will call and call me again till i answer i should excuse the gust for hold on one minute if its normal call or inqury and then answer to my manager call and alert him that i have call with potential guest , if i have non regular call with potential guest and it will affect the business i will cancell the manager call which will give him indicate that i will call him back later while handling the guest .
piece of cake guest always come first your manger can waiting but guest need person assist him finish with guest afterthat call again your manger.
The only case when you have to stop and change your conversation topic with your customer is when you hear a fire alarm. As well known, business mantra says " the customer is king".
