Just Developing companies are different and some very smaller options.
Availability of these options in different software do not mean that you can't do that thing in other software...
Yes you can do this but the way of doing can be little tricky.

Freehand has vanished as Adobe bought Macromedia. Corel Draw is an outdated program. Illustrator is the king of the vector kingdom currently.
