if we compare smamsung note3 vs iphone5s .. by specs note3 beat iphone5S :) , battery life , processor , camera , screen dimension .. but Apple phones still wanted to more peoples because OS Stability .. Stronger apps .. also processor for5S performance is very good
Whether to chose between Samsung OR iPhone devices, It depends upon ones priorities and likeness.
For example;
If you like to have bigger screen sizes, Better camera, more customization then i would recommend a Samsung device.
But, if your main focus is the security and OS stability, then i would recommend iPhone devices because Samsung devices have Android OS and Android is open source. One can simply install an application into your Samsung device and can have access to your private messages, photos etc BUT iPhone does not allow access to this private data because iPhone devices are based on iOS OS and it is secure than Android.
This is a very complex question, but i can say yes it is up to you, if you need the usabilty, stabilty and quality you have to go for iPone devise, other wise you like the flow of new features and the advantage of the open source code (i.e Android is open source) you can go for Android, and at this case you are about to choose from a very wide range of variaties.
Well, from Mobile development point of view, it really depends what are you building apps for. If you are extensively involved in Andoid based apps, buy samsung otherwise iPhone for sure.
