I attempted the exam a long time ago, more than 5 years ago, I found out that it is much harder exam compare with PMP and has a tough requiements to be audited by your employer compare with PMP and thats why only a few people in the world has it. But if you already have the required program management experience and you are highly motivated to be a PgMP, you can try it. Also there is a very limited number of resources to study it compare with PMP. So, after not achieving PgMP credential, I decided to study and earn a Master Certificate in Program Management from George Washington University, and then I transfared into Cybersecurity field and earned a lot of credentials.
PgMP is tougher than PMP but is aligned for managing programs and portfolios. You might want to touch base with Dharam Singh on LinkedIn to know further. He is a master in this area.
