Good Day!!!

Responding immediately with further detriorate the situation. You need to think about reason of such response from the employee....... May be he has a short temprament or behavioural disorder etc. All such issues can be addressed by counselling and trainings to be held some other time.

Keep Calm (especially during rush) Do as you would otherwise do without getting upset.

Take care of that employee later.

Hello again,

You are posting some good questions.

If an employee upsets you in front of others in a rush... the situation calls for a moment of thought before you make a move.

To begin with... doing anything when angry (which the employee has naturally made you) will always result in negativity. So think for a moment if the action of the employee warrants a stern on the spot reaction (which is seldom the case). If not... you should give a short stare and continue with your work and after making up your mind about a short and crisp2-3 minute reprimand... you should deliver it in isolation.

I have learned that we should never hurt someone's self respect. However... I have also learned that as a boss you need to put your foot down sometimes.

Being a good judge comes with experience and until you get there... thinking before you react can be your greatest ally.

Regards,

Talha

Hi,

I am not the expert ut yes one thing I have learnt is that here is definitely some communication gap. The only responsed that way when he/she is not happy with the boss. As earlier said keep your calm, let the Situation cool down and the, one fine day which obiviously would be the day before the weekend, call him and aks him to meet wyou before he leaves the office. Wehn he comes agaion speak up yur minds and ask him the reason of the behaviour. I am sure that the result will be excellent and your emplyoee who was one time the most devastaing person, will become the most loyal employee. All they want is your ATTENTION which is ofcourse required.
