It is very true. Talent management is strategic to the business. It requires lots of strategic planning and the anticipation of the required human resource talent for the firm and the ways in which these requirements are met.

Commitment and support of the top management is very essential and it is actually key performance indicator for the top management to find, attract and attract the right and best talent.

Executives and HR management have always been focused on basic talent management—acquiring, hiring and retaining talented employees. But, to drive optimal levels of success, business leaders need engaged, high-performing employees. The key to inciting a workforce to greatness is to align your talent management with company strategy, define consistent leadership criteria across all functional areas, and identify specific competencies (analytical, technical, education, experience) to cultivate for continuing growth. So yes talent management does need top management support.
