Proofreading is the best for editing my work. Grammar and spelling has been with a good writer through the years that helps him perfected his own work, because he has gone proof reading the best he can from his previous works. Now, if I am not satisfied, a colleague or a friend of the same standing can help.
1. After I finish a draft, I leave it for a day or two.
2. Then, I go back to it, proofreading it and reading the draft aloud and then make the necessary corrections (wherever applicable)
3, I submit my draft to a colleague or family member for proofreading (checking for spelling and grammatical errors).
As you develop and nurture the faculty of writing, your writing tends to be both spelling and grammar free. However, please do note that UK and US spelling and grammar standards are different and you have to adopt one and avoid mixing them up. Besides, bless Google for a variety of answers to this question.
There are lots of tools that can help in making one's post error free and grammatically correct. One of these is which almost every windows device has called MS-Word. This might sound silly but it is one of the best apps out there for writers.
Another amazing app is Grammarly. There are lots of apps out there to help writers, it is all about choosing the one that suits one's needs.
