I have a 100,000 Riyal now, I will pay Zakat every year 2.5%, how many years it will take till the amount will remain only 15,000?

As you can see, at the end of75th year you shall have less than15 thousand whereas at the end of74th year you have more than15 thousand. So during75th year you shall reach t.he figure of15 thousand.

I think Zakat would not have taken for this problem as it gives wrong message to the people who pay zakat. Actually Zakat purifies the money and as well by the God's grace the money get increases in halal way.

Another thing you should consider that you are just deducting the money paid, but adding the money which is getting as returns on the money.

One who pays Zakat will prosper and as well the others who are in needy to become prosper. It is a social security concept lets the needy people to be prosper by the contribution of rich people.

so after calculation n is75. 

which means that it will take75 years

74 years if you immediately pay2.5% and

75 years if you pay first amount at the end of year1
