By influencing supply and demand, especially in an open market. A political situation can be leveraged to increase sales for some type of goods more than others. with political stability, long term investors are easier to attract while with political unsuitability, short term ( high risk/high return) economical activities can choice for traders. it might be seen as exploiting the unfortunate, but that's a whole different topic all together.

i guess the answer is , it depends on the market or goods you are selling. e.g. tourisim ? or bread?
