What are the stages of implementation business systems?

a business system is like any other system, and I believe the most important stage is to capture and understand requirements and agree on them with the client.
I am not a great fan of standard methodologies and rather go for my own templates that I have developed over the years..
so each implementation should start with initiation phase, capture and document requirements phase, design phase (functional and technical), infrastructure setup phase, develop and configure phase, knowledge transfer and handholding phase, support phase and finally road mapping and planning for next stage phases.
where each phase should be linked to deliverables and sign offs.

requirement gathering.
Requirements are the reasons y any organization needs a system which shows importance of this stage.
Requirement gathering and taking them to the logical end where user/client and vendor agree on requirements, agreement on requirements is important otherwise you may come up with a best solution which client/user doesnt need.
After requirement gathering2.Analysis and Design stage starts where requirements are analyzed and implementation team provides best possible solution by configuring system or re-engineering existing business process.
This is critical most stage for organization and decisions are made based on the strategy (that strategies can be explained but it doesnt affect implementation project) adopted by organization way before the start of implementation project.3.
Its configuration stage where design phase outcome been configured/developed/customized.4.
Technical Testing that is done by implementation team first and then client technical team.5.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT) done by business users.
and ofcourse most important Sign - Off.
Better approach is to adopt iterative strategy at every stage.
