Solid Work
I can strongly recommend SimScale.
It is a cloud-based tool where simulations can be set up on a browser. It does not need the hassle of licenses or installations.
SimScale offers a free version where one can get up to 3000 hours for computing. For the free version, the projects created are publicly available. However, if one would like to keep your project private, a professional plan is also available. There is also a two-week free trial for the professional version of the platform.
The SimScale tutorial and documentation provide easy to understand materials to help with usage of SimScale platform. In addition, you can explore the public projects database, where there are loads of projects already available. You might also already find a prototype of the kind of simulation you would like to do in the database.
In my opinion, you should use first Solidworks for designing the model (easy to use and understand as well , many youtube tutorials) and then import that model into ANSYS Workbench and solve it for structural analysis. Simple.
If u want more accurate results then import the model from solidworks in HYPERMESH and then do the structural analysis in ANSYS Workbench. Good Luck.
for carrying out static structural analysis Ansys is best software which can be used
I have worked on Ansys for static structural simulations and it gives you very accurate results as long as you have input the right conditions and know all your constraints.
There are many software’s and process that can be used for analyzing the design of forklift almost all good design software have analysis software’s ranges like CATIA, Solid works, Ansys, Hypermesh etc
I use to do the drawing in the CATIA/Pro-E/Uni-Graphics and then export it to the Hypermesh and do the meshing and node creation and after which I take the mesh model to drawing to the FEA analysis in Ansys and it gives the best result as you can give better and in-depth details of the part, its material, its properties and values, than in other software’s. But design software based analysis gives an overall picture of the design and in relation to the material used.
