Limit your interactions if their mood is rubbing off on you
Keep your cool
Don’t take it personally
Document their behavior
Pick meeting times carefully
Focus on what can be actioned upon
Treat the person with respect
be clear & Take every thing easy
choose a perfect time to speak to him
make summary and determine what u want
Perhaps the best strategy would be to listen more and speak less for minimum bounces!
Will try to avoid him most of the time, and contact him only for necessary issues.
If the manager has a character like the above then the best policy is to do your job but spend as little as possible time with him/her. I don't think though that the employee could stay a long time in this job (I lasted for about one year, it was the most painful working experience in my life).
The challenge is to do what we do not like. Adapt the matter.
Concentration on our own work
Interactions only for requirements.
Be pleasant and happy
Approach him firmly
Greet him in the morning
Support him in a more generous way for the work which require additional skill.
Do not ask for permissions except under rare cases.
Do not much entertain your colleagues at your seat
Treat him as if your brother-- keep this in mind ---to remain with the work so long as you can
Schmoozing your Boss! ;) sometimes It's work!
1. Decide perfect time to speak with him.
2. Control emotion.
3. Calm.
4. Quick response.
5. Respect.
I prefer option no1. Limit your interactions if their mood is rubbing off on you
