Leaders influence the character-ism in managers and their ideas are implemented through managers.Leaders' ideas are transformed to the base levels and managers act as intermediaries by timely interventions so that the set goals are achieved in the desired manner as set out and focus on the objectives.
Some managers are great leaders themselves.. true.
Agreed with the statement. Managers manage and leaders influence because of their charismatic personality.
Good Day!!!
Absolutely right............. Leaders Influence others to get the job done....... I would like to add my observation about the characteristics of a leader........ he works with a iii concept:
i - Instruct - How can a target be successfully achieved.
i - Inspire - By doing the task himself.
i - Insist - sub-ordinates to do it effectively from now and onwards.
Managers manage people, processes, figures & results. Leaders have the indispensable function of leading others (people) to follow, improve or innovate processes, boos positive figures and achieve desired results of the collective, either through persuasion or by example.
I believe that managers can be leaders and leaders may happen to be managers (since leadership in itself is an unofficial designation).
Sometimes the leader of sales team, for example, is not exactly the Sales Manager but the best performing team-members both in terms of sales-figures and teamwork with (and motivation of) other members.
Leadership is the Influence but management is how to get things done.
so, yes.
Managers manage the available resources including manpower for business and leaders influence and get influenced by the manpower for their and self development to improve their and self potentials to enhance their and self productivity.
