Those characteristics are not suitable to hire because it shows lack of serious to work and inefficiency.  As an HR Manager, I will not go to recruit such kind of people.

first of all i think your question is about8 different candidates and each one has a different behavior because if you are talking about one candidate i think he shouldn't be interviewed in the first place

I would hire him for the following5 are not that deadly mistakes:

  1. Late30 minutes from the interview (You do not the reason, it might be no parking, traffic jam etc) but he would call and say he will be late
  2. Forgot his resume in the car on a USB (why I ask for the CV, I should have it otherwise i would call him for interview. Also, it is technology era and papers are not used any more. All document are digitalized). This reflects also that the interviewer is not ready and still wants to read the CV. How Come!!!
  3. Before having the interview, he chatted with the reception asking about the company and the rotation level (This is a mistake of all companies to let the candidates wait in the reception and not only talk to the receptionist but also hear employees talking about things int he company that outsiders should not know). I do not blame him
  4. When asked if he likes to take a drink, he directly replied coffee with sugar (What is wrong with answering the request or it is just complementary request and there is no drinks in the company but we have to ask the guest
  5. He does not have any idea about the company's business or spreading (It is part of the interview that the interviewer give briefing about the company business and ask the candidate if he want to know more things and the candidate has the right to ask about the company)
  6. For sure I will not hire him for He does not have clear answers to questions instead general mediocre ones. He is not fit for the job.
  7. His phone rang twice during the interview. I would not hire him for
  8. He forgot to which exact position he applied.  I would not hire him for

The attitude of a person never changes. Human behavior observation period is the basic figure of taking interview so, if I take interview of that person absolutely I will not select such insincere person.

I would consider that an insult to the company and to me personally, punctuality is very important,I believe he is no ready for a professional role and not completely commuted to our organization.commitment is key.
