I believe duties are not fully completed unless no need rises in the future for the same duty.As an example in sales your duties are not completed when making or closing the sale ,you still have to follow up for payment or collection, after sales customer service, warranty issues, parts and other customer needs, and possibly new orders and certain issues.
But for the sake of your question i believe a duty is completed when no need for further action is needed or required, and when customer satisfaction has been reached.
I never say my duties are completed whether on job or at home.It is process starts at a moment by an hour through a day goes on to months and on to a year.Every day a new duty or challenge arises at job or at home in a family and you go on trying to accomplish it.
I could say that my duties are compeleted if first and foremost, My employer is satisfied and above all, I can see confidence in me after doing so. and moreover, consecutive positive results follow.
Thank you
