Always do or select what you want and if you are parents give free hand and support your children what ever they want to do..

Well, I wonder how everyone here ended up in the profession that they're in? Choosing a profession should be by your own choice. Why? Because it is you who will work and it will be your life that will be affected by such major decision. Choose a profession that is closest to your passion. Some will choose a profession because of the money. Why? because we work to make a living, to earn, to be successful, right? But is it really right? Do something that will make you happy. A job that will make you wake up every morning excited. A job that you always think about and a job that will satisfy you. Once you find it, grab onto it and the money will just follow. Treat the money as a bonus for doing something that you like. This sounds very easy but this decision is very hard and once you go through it, you will know the difficulty of choosing something that will make or break your future. Some parents will force their children to be a doctor or an engineer because it runs in the family, the real nature of that is it will be easier for you to land a job because your parents have been in the same industry for so long and their networks and connections are so vast that you no longer have to start from the bottom. It happens. It's reality. So. If you feel that you chose the wrong profession and youre now on the point where you're already regretting the degree that you finished and the career that you chose, then it's never too late to turn. Dont think like it is the end of the world for you. You're not turning back, but rather you are just turning to a different way that still leads forward, right?. Remember that so you wont feel down.

Parents do not only like to see their sons in the same field they work in, but they sometimes move ahead to compel them to take that same field. This, unfortunately, completely wrong.

Choosing a profession depends basically on the nature and characteristics of a person. And that is why we observe some people work in a profession different from their specialties, because they study under parents' aspiration, which are not necessarily their same hopes!

Anyhow, society and job market influences may induce a person to adopt a specific profession. This clear reflected in medicine and other profitable and/ or prestigious fields. Besides, all factors mentioned can be helpful in choosing a profession if they are dealt with as a source of advice only.

An important fact that is worth mentioning here is: those who go for a profession just because their parents, friends, and others want or like that will never succeed unless they had a real inclination and deep desire to take such professions from the beginning.

I believe that parents are the most influence one as the key that someone would follow his/ her choice. I have to say that in our society parents take the most important roles for kid choice. Later choice comes after the key, choice encompass the all considerations that you have mentioned above like teacher, job markets, package, society, friends and etc.

However if you asked what is helpful to adopt a profession, I would say that it is your own will. Self motivation is the most helpful factor to adopt a profession and it would be great when it is in line combination to nature disposition of someone's talent. Thanks for invitation.

A child that has been well-educated and has a background in being guided by their parents will listen to them when choosing a profession, so "parents" should rank high, but not be the only choice.

Aptitude tests should be used also, and that combined with the natural inclination a person has towards a subject should lead them to a good personal choice of what they want to do.

Thankfully, even an initial 'bad" choice can be reversed later, given that we have so many opportunities to learn these days.
