I think that the companies which work is digital, Will need the digital marketing more that the others companies.
If your company specialist is: Hosting, Designing, and any online business, You may need to make the largest marketing campaign and that's to be around the consumers, From the other side you can make other marketing campaign on the newspapers or T.V.
But if your company doesn't work online, You can spend the most on the other not online marketing campaigns.
At all, How much you want to spend = Where and how you want to appear and how are your customers.

May I know What do you mean by expensive marketing? Are you talking about the traditional marketing, because digital marketing can also be expensive for many business.
As we know we can spend as much as we can to become brand on the Internet.
I think it depends on the type of business, situation and budget.
I would like to say that Digital Marketing is measurable while other type of marketing like TV ads , Banners on the road side etc we can't measure the exact result that how many people saw the TV ads or Banner but after integration with digital marketing we can measure.

The answer to this question depends greatly on your target audience.
If your target audience is using digital media over traditional media, then you should definitely put more efforts in your digital marketing strategy in order to reach them.
But if your target market is still opting for more traditional channels, then your non-digital marketing efforts—though more expensive—should focus on these channels.

It depends on the scale of the brand.
For massive, multi-million dollar brands, no, I don't think it's enough.
But for smaller, upcoming brands, digital marketing is fantastic.

Hello Aya, Its not a this or that choice, it basically depends on the type of products your marketing.
My mother do not use internet, so to reach her with a Fairy (washing-up liquid) product you need a TV ad, while you need to target me online with products such as a new Mobile device.
Keep in mind that even I spend 12 hours online, I do see tv ads also!, so if there is a tradeoff, it depends basically on how much Measurable you want your campaigns to be, and what Audience you want to reach with what Budget.

It might reduce it since digital marketing expenses could be less than other marketing activities but the question is would you guarantee good results with using only digital marketing? Although it is measurable but still, until today offline advertising and other marketing activities has an impact.

Dear Aya, Don't determine the method of marketing using the expense.
But yes, digital marketing can either be expensive or cheap depending upon the coverage/campaign that you choose for your product/service.
However, it doesn't reduce the need for other expensive marketing such as TV campaign, if there is really a need.
Thanks Nitin C.
