How does machine design impact on mechanical technology?

As we know that the raw material is converted into finished products by using various machining processes.
we also know that designing is very necessary for making the products.
By above two statements we came to know that Mechanical is the only sector that is very vast, which covers Auto-Ancillary, Aircraft, heavy Machinery etc areas.
these are very broad areas and the components used for making it,are very complexes and it is very difficult to design such components without designing the products.
