In my company we used JIT in employing or contracting talent when needed for the duration needed,we have had success for the lat several years as only when we have new contracts that talent is acquired. It helped us reduce our running costs especially during slow growth periods.
i believe in the merits of JIT both in manufacturing and in human resources management.
Just In Time used in industry for efficient supply chain management and this formula can be used in any organization for maintaining the Human Resources activities smoothly.
I believe it is important, so It is one of the professional skills, so it should be one of the Recruitment performance requirement in the interview.
The process of identifying an organization’s talent needs and identifying, acquiring, and retaining talent for those needs is essentially human capital supply chain management. A supply chain is a system of organizations, people, technology, activities, information and resources involved in moving something of value (a product, a service, or a person) from a source to a customer/consumer. Conventional supply chain activities transform natural resources, raw materials and components into a finished product that is delivered to the end customer. In recruiting, human capital supply chain activities transform relationships and data (ad responses, resumes, social networking profiles, etc.) into candidates that are delivered to hiring managers.
JIT is declining due to shift in talent pool demand and demand variation across sector without a pre determined time factor . Hence addressing through the just in time is changing along with advancement in technology
In terms of recruitment, JIT means hiring staff/professional to do the required specific job/role only when it's needed and without compromising budget and operational requirements.
This matter help you choose the right candidate for the right job with no much cost.
JIT depends on the standard the company provide and what is thier interest in persons and what the candidates have from eduaction, experince, innovation and suggestions to make work better.
Hi,
Labor extensive industries like retail and IT/BPO have a good & successful application of JIT concept. However industries with specialist portfolios have a not seen much value in the same.
