The AS-interface (AS-i)

The actuator-sensor interface (AS-i) sets new technological standards in the

design and automation of installations. This leads to economic advantages

AS-i considerably reduces wiring complexity since conventional parallel

wiring of each sensor or actuator to the controller is no longer necessary.

AS-i allows low-cost connection of conventional devices. Up to248 binary sensors and186 actuators can be connected per

AS-i line.

As- interface is a protocol in which we automate field device like sensors and actuator with only2 conductor cable. it reduces wiring and easy to troubleshoot.

AS Interface can be used in any topology not just in Ring topology as said my Mr. Ahmed Mustafa.

And it is just single two conductor based cable which eliminates traditional complex cable tree.

Click-and-Go technology, easy to implement and error free.

AS-Interface is Actuator Sensor Interface which means that we can connect all sensors and actuators in the field on single  2-conductors cable and communicate with each through a ring topology
