To render a good and excellent customer service, you MUST to do them a very good welcoming, because i think everything is made ​​in the first approach and also you should to anticipate their needs, to exceed their expectations and be honest

From personal experience  Customer  service is to know what customer wants ,To feel yourself as if in his position his problem is yours his question is also yours because keeping customer is more hard than getting new customer.
