In the UK, the CIPS certification runs on6 levels from a Certificate in Procurement and Supply Operations (equivalent to a high school diploma or GCSE), up to a degree-level qualification, Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply. I believe there is a next level above this which is effectively a Masters Degree (MCIPS) for those who have a degree already, but would like to have a masters qualification specifically in Procurement.

If you have a degree already, you would probably start at level4 or5 depending on your industry experience. It works similarly in other countries.
