In my opinion KPIs ought to be used for recognition and development.

However, I believe that self assessment is the best way to drive self for self development.

I agree to the KPI concept as mentioned by Mr. Ghani, and yes I do strongly support for self assessment, but I also feel that self assessment will be true or not? As per the human nature.
