Reading is the perfect foundation for lighting up the imagination, gaining knowledge, developing own opinion and broadening horizons in terms of how you see the world and of opening you up to new ideas and respecting old traditions.

The gift of reading joins hands with the gift of writing by encouraging the writer to challenge themselves.  Reading can help a writer to ask questions about their own work, such as looking at strengths and how to improve aspects of their work.  See reading as the tool which can keep your writing fresh and interesting.

First of all, sorry for my long absence on Bayt. It is quite simple as you will learn all the different skills of writing. Each and every writer have a different writing style.

A lot.  Reading does tremendous wonders to improve your writing skills.  Through reading, you would learn the different styles of writing, different tones of voices, varied genres, etc.  You will also learn new words that you haven't encountered before.  You will also learn how to use jargon, build your sentences effectively, arrange paragraphs better, etc.... and I suggest you read a wide range of genres.  I even read comic books because they have a certain style and language that can captivate readers (that are not found in other genres).  It is through these comics that I learned how to use some street language.
