The type of cracking is not acceptable and the solution is to dismantle one side of the column so that main bars are to be seen and try to put one another row of main bars with the column and bind with the older and refill from concrete

Such type of cracks are not accepted. Before loading the column started cracking.
I am having a doubt that by seeing the pictures it is looking like the column concrete is not rich in strength, the quality of concrete is too poor and compaction is not up to mark.
And one more clear and Even horizontal crack was found due to poor shuttering workmanship.
The Shuttering is also not good.

Most of the present professionals are agree that the poor concrete is the basic cause of this non conformity.
Thank you my dear friend for this invitation ,,, we have to know more information from the site about the column concrete casting works my be we have problems during this works cause to stoped concreting or daily it to the time which effect to the concrete mix and my be also they add more water or cement and water to the mix thinking that they will get more control to the workability of concrete in spit of an other mestek by using more vibration which it cause to the fine sand and cement to go out from the mix as a thin layer on the face of column with the cracks and those are not a deep but in any way its ( not acceptable ),,, So when we are looking to the first picture we will find that the right side is clear from dawn to the top but dawn ii more clare than up and the first thing you will see the joint under the crushing part (( with a large number of voids))like sponge and the concrete is different than the the concrete under this joint this indicate that the casting of column concreting was not cast in the same time and also the shape and color of concrete also different and that is mean that we fail to get a good job and also we have a poor and bad concrete
This kind of cracking isn’t accepted in construction because it will cause the collapse of the structure.
We can see this cracking when the vibration of the concrete is poor, so these kind of problems aren’t allowed in our career and we have to avoid it
I think that column shown in the picture is the long columns type and it cracked by buckling.
It is known that the bearing ability of column increases as loads was concentrated in the center of column section where the column was in critical condition and it undergoes of refraction if the resultant of exerted loads being out by about one-third of middle of columns section in square or rectangle columns, and if it got out of the middle quarter in the case of the column with a circular section .
I am afraid that this column has been subjected to conditions above and that the matter is not in lake of curing.
Crack is governed by Shear force and not by moment here.
firstly check the crack width calculation permissible as per design and at site.
if still it is failing such provide splicing.
Not at all accepted.In my opinion this cracks because there is no care about curing stage,so we should care about curing stage for concrete and plasting.

- if this column is belong to new building , then the best isto make report to municiplity engineer to take action against cons. & contr.
those horizontal cracks in columns is not accepted
as i see in the attached photos it is long column type which should have special design and should be concreted carefully to avoid segregation or cold joints.
Unacceptable, possibly expired concrete or ratio of the ready mix is not correct.
