LNG is transported in double-hulled ships specifically designed to handle the low temperature of LNG. These carriers are insulated to limit the amount of LNG that evaporates.

Whereas Methanol can be transported in STD 20' containers and can be loaded or discharged as general cargo.

The difference between loading and discharging are as follows;

1. Loading is a process of putting the goods into a container/s either for storage or for delivery.

While discharging is a process of unloading the goods into the containers on the delivery point.
